Bio

Carlos attended UC Davis as an undergraduate in computer science, and working for the school both in UC Davis Extension's IT group, and as an activities coordinator for UC Davis Extension's Center for International Education. He continued to grow his programming experience as a Systems Administrator for Human Ecology. Carlos came to the Department of Environmental Science & Policy, to work as a research programmer for Mark Lubell at the Center for Environmental Policy & Behavior. In 2016, Carlos returned to IT as a Systems Architect for the department, and more recently took the position as the IT Manager, leading the department's IT services.

In his work with CEPB, he has supported research programming in web application development, online survey development, data management, and social network analysis.

In his role as a IT Manager for the department, he also serves as the lead support for ArcGIS at UC Davis as the service owner for the campus, doing occasional spatial analysis and GIS training across the campus. Additionally, he serves the entire campus as a Co-Chair for UC Davis' IT Security Committee.
