Professor: Marissa Baskett mlbaskett@ucdavis.edu

Lectures
  • All lecture and lab background material will be recorded.  Lecture and lab time will involve active learning (e.g., group breakouts to work on labs or problem sets).  Therefore, lecture and lab attendance is not required, but is highly recommended, and lack of regular attendance will put someone at a disadvantage in the class given the missed learning opportunity.
Discussions
  • Microphones will be necessary, and webcams highly recommended, for office hours and group learning exercises.
Exams
  • Students will have a designated 24-hour period to complete the exams, which will be designed to take 80 min for the midterm and 2 hours for the final.  The 24 hour period will be the same in all time zones, but as 24 hours everyone will have an equivalent amount of daytime to complete the exam irregardless of their time zone. Both will be take-home and open book.
Additional logistic info:
  • Students must have the latest version of Zoom.
  • Students must have R and RStudio for the computer labs (both are free to download to any OS, and also available via the Virtual Labs).
