Energy and Environmental Aspects of Transportation

Lecture—3 hours; extensive writing. Prerequisite: Economics 1A or Engineering 106. Engineering, economic, and systems planning concepts. Analysis and evaluation of energy, air quality and selected environmental attributes of transportation technologies. Strategies for reducing pollution and petroleum consumption in light of institutional and political constraints. Evaluation of vehicle emission models. GE credit: SciEng or SocSci, Wrt | SE or SS, SL, WE.
