Prerequisite: upper division standing or consent of the instructor; physics (Physics 9B), calculus (Mathematics 21B) and exposure to physical and chemical oceanography (Geology/Environmental Science and Policy 150A) are recommended; residence at or near Bodega Marine Laboratory required. The oceanography of coastal waters, including bays, river plumes, nearshore and estuaries; focus on transport patterns, how they are forced and implications for ecological and environmental problems.
