Lecture—3 hours; discussion—1 hour. Prerequisite: University Writing Program 1 or English 3 or equivalent; sophomore standing; Economics 1A and Biological Sciences 2B recommended. Analysis of the physical, biological, and social interactions which constitute environmental problems. Emphasis on analysis of environmental problems, the consequences of proposed solutions, and the interaction of environmental science and public policy in creating solutions.
